Maytree is currently offering 3 weekly befriending calls, providing emotional support and assistance with signposting information for ongoing support. Due to high service demand Maytree is unable to offer all callers a place on the waitlist for a residential stay.
Currently the residential stay waitlist is up to 6 months.
Telephone / email support is offered between 8am and 8pm daily. Due to high service demand our current wait time to be contacted for an initial befriending call is up to 72 hours - we aim to respond at our earliest opportunity.
Maytree is a residential respite centre for people who are feeling suicidal.
Maytree is not a crisis intervention centre that can be accessed immediately.
If you have harmed yourself or are in imminent danger of life-threatening self-injury, please call 999 and seek help.
Maytree's house is open for people when they’re feeling suicidal.
Maytree’s house is open
365 days a year.
We offer a free 4 night, 5 day stay for adults, with the opportunity to be heard in complete confidence, in a caring, safe environment.
Since we opened our doors in 2002, there has been no other non-medical residential place to stay like it in the UK.
Maytree remains unique.
This year we want to open a second house in Manchester.
