Maytree is a refuge for those for whom suicidal thoughts have become an increasing burden.
Anyone from anywhere who feels they need a clam, confidential, supportive place to spend some time. A place of safety where they will be listened to and gently encouraged to talk through their feelings and their options. Maytree has a house in north London which offers guest stays for four nights and five days. Experienced staff support trained volunteers to befriend and support Maytree guests.
Maytree is seeking two part-time co-ordinators to support Maytree guests and volunteers. We are seeking people with:
- A minimum two years' experience of delivering face-to-face services in a mental health setting.
- Experience of befriending and providing one to one support to vulnerable adults.
- Experience of supporting and managing volunteers preferably in a mental health setting.
This Co-ordinators will be based at Maytree Respite Centre, London N4.
